[Father’s Day 2021] Playdough and Tag craft

Happy Father’s Day to Lex! Here in Singapore, we celebrate Father’s day on the 3rd Sunday of June.

Kids are happy to have him here in Singapore this year. But due to mini lockdown and his recent hospital trip, we did not really celebrate. Our kitchen is also closed from baking these days as this mom is not in a good shape to bake yet🤪 so we made some Homemade playdough with thermomix and also some simple tags craft for the dad.

Our last batch of homemade playdough lasted for 3 months👍🏻. It’s actually quite lasting considering that we didn’t really take good care of it i.e. keeping them in airtight containers after each use. We made a slightly bigger batch this time. Kids also enjoyed weighing the flour , salt and water. 👍🏻 We are using this recipe by Lucy at bakeplaysmile.

The plastic tags are so fun to make! Kids enjoyed writing and decorating on the plastic sheet I cut out from takeout box (from Polystyrene material / number 6) before we baked them in toaster (our toaster setting is 120-140deg cel for 2-3 mins). They are now addicted to this craft as they like seeing the things they wrote shrinking into mini tags 😍

  1. This time the color is really nice, my favor color type which seems like a layer of mist overlaying on the original color. I think we need to find out how to make those color consistent 😛 i like it.
